To ensure a well functioning and natural looking water feature, place the skimmer hood on top of the fixed skimmer. The skimmer hood allows you to place rocks or other natural elements on top for the most natural look possible. When used correctly you can create the effect of water flowing into the rocks and disappearing as it would in nature.
