Which is the right kit for me?
The sight and sound of a vibrant stream coursing through your backyard is a sensory delight for young and old. The Meadowbrook series is very similar to the Springbrook series, but is a dynamic step-up in pumping performance. We've included all the necessary components sized to accommodate the higher flow rate, including an adjustment valve to restrict to pump’s flow if it is too forceful. The length of the pond liner provided is 20 feet, enough for a 14 foot stream bed with a couple of short waterfalls along the way; and at 5 feet wide, will capture the splash of these small spillways. While, with this pump, the optimum stream width is about 24", you may choose to make your streambed a little narrower for a more vibrant flow, or a little wider to reduce the water depth and current.
The T40F Filter Tank provides the reservoir needed to capture all the water-in-motion when the pump is turned off, for the waterfall and stream dimensions specified. If your conditions change - larger than 3" cobble, wider than 24" stream, or small pools of water in the stream course - you may find you have exceeded the water storage capacity; the tank over-flows when the pump is shut off, and the pump short-cycles when the system is re-started. Fortunately, it is easy to connect the T40SP expansion tank as additional reservoir without limiting your creativity or disrupting your project, because all the hardware is in the landscape outside the water feature.
